Your mind is more that you think.
The Conscious/Logical part of your mind is a small part of how and why you do what you do. The Subconscious/Unconscious Mind (UM) is the real powerhouse of who you are, handling 95% of all you do every day!
Self-development and self-help programs don’t always deliver lasting change because they work strictly with the conscious mind. Lasting change happens more rapidly when we employ methods to work directly with the source of the original problem – the unconscious mind (UM).
At Right Path Hypnosis we utilize hypnotherapy and other techniques to access the UM. By releasing old negative programming and installing new, empowering programming, our clients see rapid improvement. Once the UM has accepted the positive suggestions, the change is automatically sustained through new thought patterns, healthier habits, and behavior.
Neuroplasticity
When we learn something new, a connection is made between neurons. As we use what we have learned over and over, the connection grows stronger creating a pattern. Think: learning to drive, learning a sport, learning in school to add, read, write, etc.
This also goes for unhealthy habits like smoking, eating too much, being sedentary, feeling anxious, and even believing you don’t test well; and it can also happen in an instant with phobias.
The great news is that negative connections can be rewired by working directly at the unconscious level with Hypnotherapy, Time Line Therapy®, and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
This is called neuroplasticity. The first mention of the term plasticity regarding the nervous system was by William James in 1890. He was fascinated with hypnosis and the “enhanced capacity for response to suggestion.”

Basic Laws of the Mind
Every idea or thought causes a physical reaction.
Your thoughts create an emotional state, (a feeling) which in turn has a physical effect on your body. Anger stimulates your adrenal glands, and the increased amount of adrenaline in the bloodstream causes a rise in blood pressure, muscle tightness and many other physical changes. Fearful thoughts change your pulse rate, as do thoughts that create anxiety or panic attacks. Any kind of stress, mild or extreme, causes a cascade of hormones to be released. Amongst those is Cortisol, which has been associated weight gain – particularly around the waist.
Emotions are the Barometer of Our Thoughts
Emotions are an indicator of your thoughts. Anger is the result of anger inducing thoughts, including the “knee jerk” reaction to someone else’s actions. Stress, anxiety, and fear are produced by thoughts as well. Sadness, despair… even happiness and joy are emotions that are triggered by your thoughts. Your body is sending you a message – either it is time to change your thoughts, or you are right on track! Choose to change your thoughts whenever you notice a negative feeling. You can! And when you do, it really works.
What is expected tends to be realized.
The subconscious mind responds only to mental images, no matter if the images in your imagination or reality. The image in your mind becomes the goal, or outcome, that your subconscious mind carries out. Your subconscious acts to fulfill the imagined situation… “the thing I feared most has happened.” Worrying is the programming of an image that you do not want!
Imagination is more powerful than knowledge.
Since images are the property of the subconscious mind, and the subconscious mind comprises 88% of your brain power and up to 95% of everything you do each day, those images will generally overpower your logical thinking. That is why many people fall get rich quick schemes or dooms-day predictions. Ideas accompanied by strong emotions usually cannot be modified using “reason.”
The great news is that any old ideas that you choose to change can be easily and effortlessly removed, altered, or amended through hypnosis and NLP.
